Web design in Vancouver for SaaS, cleantech and product teams
I'm Elias Chapuis, a design engineer who designs and builds websites, brands and design systems for Vancouver SaaS companies, cleantech startups and product teams. I work across strategy, Figma and code, so the site you approve is the site that ships.
Examples of that work include GetMint, a Paris SaaS rebranded with a full design system, and Plume, an SEO and GEO studio I designed and built myself. I'm based in Saskatoon and collaborate with Vancouver teams remotely, one or two hours ahead of you depending on the season.
/VANCOUVER_TECH
Vancouver's SaaS, gaming and cleantech scene
Vancouver has a strong mix of SaaS companies, game studios and cleantech businesses, and a design culture shaped by all three. Teams there tend to have high expectations for craft: motion, interaction and visual detail matter, and a site that looks like a template stands out for the wrong reasons.
Cleantech and climate companies add another challenge: explaining technical, sometimes physical products to investors, partners and customers who don't share the same background. Clear diagrams, honest visuals and a steady narrative do more than slogans.
/DESIGN_SYSTEMS
Design systems that connect your site and your product
I build every site on a Figma component library with variables and tokens, so the website can grow without drifting from the brand. For product teams, the same tokens can feed the app interface, keeping marketing and product visually consistent. That approach comes from my product design work as much as from websites.
- Tokens for color, type, spacing and motion
- Components documented for designers and developers
- Page templates your team can recombine without breaking the system
/MOTION_AND_BUILD
Motion, interaction and the right build tool
Micro-interactions and motion are part of the design, not decoration added at the end. I prototype them early, sometimes in code with tools like Claude, Cursor or Lovable, so we judge them in the browser rather than imagining them from static frames.
For the final build, I use Webflow when a marketing team needs to own the CMS, Framer for compact sites heavy on animation, and custom code when the site must work closely with a product. The Webflow developer page explains how I approach those builds.

Remote collaboration with Vancouver teams
I don't have a Vancouver office. Projects run through video calls, shared Figma files and async written updates, with scheduled reviews at each milestone. Being slightly ahead of Pacific time means feedback you send in the afternoon is often picked up early the next day.
Every project is quoted at a fixed price after an intro call, with scope, deliverables and review dates written down before work begins.
/PROCESS
How a project runs
- 01
Kick-off call
We go over your product, audience and goals by video. You get a fixed-price proposal with scope and timeline.
- 02
System first
Type, color, components and key layouts in Figma, so later pages come together quickly and consistently.
- 03
Prototype and refine
Motion and interactions tested in the browser, then refined with your feedback.
- 04
Ship
Production build, QA on real devices, launch and a handover session with your team.

Frequently asked questions
Do you meet clients in Vancouver?
Vancouver projects are remote: video calls, shared Figma files and async updates. I'm based in Saskatoon and don't have an office in Vancouver. For larger projects where a workshop in person adds real value, I can travel.
Can you design for cleantech or climate companies?
Yes. The challenge is the same one I solve for AI and fintech products: making a technical offer understandable without oversimplifying it. I start from what your audience needs to believe, then design visuals and pages that support it.
Can you build our site in Framer?
Yes. I build in Framer, Webflow and custom code. Framer works well for smaller, motion-heavy marketing sites, while Webflow is often the better choice when a team publishes a lot of CMS content.
Do you design product interfaces too?
Yes. I work as a product designer on web apps and internal tools, and I've designed and built my own, like Plume SEO and Bidouille OS. Many SaaS teams benefit from having the same person shape the website and parts of the product.
