Web design in Hamilton for manufacturers, health sciences and tech

I'm Elias Chapuis, a design engineer and product designer. I design and build websites for Hamilton companies: manufacturers modernizing how they present themselves, health sciences and research spin-offs, and tech startups growing in the city.

Two projects show the range: Bravi, a Y Combinator-backed technical expert for manufacturers' field teams, where I designed the brand, landing page and launch assets, and Kulipa, a fintech rebrand with isometric illustrations and motion. I work from Saskatoon, so Hamilton projects run remotely.

Hamilton's shift from heavy industry to health and tech

Hamilton's identity was shaped by manufacturing, and that heritage is still a strength. Today the city is also growing in health sciences and technology, with McMaster University and its research community playing a central role. Many companies sit between the two worlds: industrial know-how with a modern, technical product.

Their websites often lag behind. I help these companies present themselves the way they work now, with clear explanations of what they make or do, real product visuals and a brand that feels current without losing its roots.

Making technical and industrial offers easy to understand

Industrial buyers and health professionals read carefully and dislike vague marketing. I design pages that answer their questions directly: what the product does, how it fits their process, what proof exists and how to reach a real person.

  • Product and capability pages with a clear structure
  • Diagrams and illustrations instead of generic stock photos
  • Case study and proof sections that support sales
  • Contact paths for different buyer types

Webflow, Framer or custom code for your Hamilton website

Most projects like these are well served by Webflow, which lets your team update pages and publish news without a developer. Framer suits smaller, more animated sites, and custom code fits sites that connect to a product or an internal system.

I choose with you based on who will maintain the site and how often. See the Webflow developer page for how I approach those builds. Pricing is fixed after an intro call, based on templates, content, brand work and integrations.

Beyond the website: internal tools and products

Some companies need more than a marketing site: a client portal, a quoting tool or an internal dashboard. I design and build those too. Bidouille OS, the tool I built to run a design studio, with a pipeline, quotes, contracts, a client portal and invoicing, is an example of that product work.

How a project runs

  1. 01

    First conversation

A video call about your company, customers and goals, then a written proposal with a fixed price.

  2. 02

    Understand the offer

I dig into how your product or service actually works, so the site explains it accurately.

  3. 03

    Design and review

Figma designs reviewed with your team, including the technical people who know the details.

  4. 04

    Build and hand over

Production build, testing, launch and training, so your team can keep the site current.

Frequently asked questions

Do you meet clients in Hamilton?

Hamilton projects run remotely. I'm based in Saskatoon, with no office in Ontario, and we work by video call, in shared Figma files and through async updates. If an on-site visit would help me understand your product, we can plan one when it makes sense.

Do you have experience with manufacturing companies?

Yes. I designed the brand identity, landing page and launch assets for Bravi, a technical expert for manufacturers' field teams, working with the agency KLIMB. Earlier I was a marketing coordinator at Cummins France, so industrial marketing isn't new to me.

Can you work with health sciences or research organizations?

Yes. The work is about accuracy and clarity: explaining research or clinical products without overclaiming. I make sure your experts can review content and visuals before anything goes live.

What's the time difference with Hamilton?

I'm on Central Standard Time all year, which puts me one hour behind Hamilton in winter and two in summer. Our working hours overlap for most of the day.

Have a project in mind?

Tell me where you are and what you need. I reply within a day, usually with a few questions and a time to talk.
